Outdoor Air Quality

Each transit through traffic not only pumps significant amounts of carbon monoxide, sulphurous and nitrogenous gases in people’s systems, but it also lodges carbon particles, dust and VOCs in their lungs. There is no way way to know how many pollutants people expose themselves to each by by just taking a leisurely stroll down the road. The air quality data as collected by the government is insufficient in telling us the quality of air that exists right outside our homes.

Yuktix has developed smart weather sensing nodes that can sense and monitor the local outdoor air quality which directly affects the local population each day. This system can sense high-resolution information air quality sensors that measure carbon monoxide, SOX, NOX, PM 2.5, PM 10 in the local environment. A network of multiple such nodes across the busy city squares and residentia areas can give the residents more relevant information about the quality of air they breathe and take mitigation steps when it deviates from the National Air Quality Index

Indoor Air Quality

Most people spend about 80% of their time indoors and of this the largest chunk in their time is spent inside the office buildings. Hence. maintaining the quality of air indoors is a key concern as it affects the health, well-being and productivity of the building occupants.

Besides poor ventilation, indoor air may get contaminated by the formaldehyde released from the wall paints and furnishings. Other volatile organic compounds ( VOCs) such as benzene, styrene, toluene, and other bio-aerosols contained in perfumes and fragrances of cleaners may further contaminate the indoor air. On top of it, of the building is not systematically ventilated, it may result in pockets of stale air and occurrence of biological contaminants like molds, bacteria and fungi.

By switching over to smart building management solutions which intelligently sense the air composition and inbuilt controllers that signal appropriate remedial actions to the HVAC system, indoor air quality can be optimally maintained for the well-being of its inhabitants.

Underground Car Parking Ventilation System

Car parks can be over-ventilated with exhaust fans running at full speed, 24-hours a day. This excessive energy consumption may be greatly reduced with the implementation of a gas detection control system, delivering energy and cost savings whilst still maintaining a safe and comfortable carpark environment. The Car parking can be equipped with a WSN that measures the concentration of CO, CO2,other VOCs and temperature. When any of the variable crosses its threshold, the ventilation system can be triggered to take corrective action. The HVAC system can be configured to automatically activate the ventilation and how long to control the temperature and CO2 concentration for the parking space.
